STEM EDUCATORS NEEDED (PART TIME GIG)

Overview

Japan Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics Program (JSTEMP), a STEM based program for kids aged 9 ~ 18 is looking to recruit STEAM educators with passion for science and technology. The ideal candidate:

• Will facilitate project based and experimental learning using robots
• Should be passionate about technology, enjoy and have experience working with kids
• Should be able to think out of the box in guiding kids with their mini innovative projects.

Skills and Qualities

• Demonstrate problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Must be fun and be able to connect with kids using various learning strategies
• Ability to communicate ideas and plans clearly and effectively
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Confident, self – motivated, and able to work well in teams
• Ability to communicate ideas and plans clearly and effectively

Qualifications

• B.Sc in education (Physics Major) or equivalent with experience working with kids
• Demonstrate an understanding of the principles of STEAM
• Background in electronics and/or robotics is an added advantage

Location: Nairobi Only

Work Schedule: Weekends and School holidays only
